Our Candles
Our handmade scented candles are made with 100% pure beeswax, essential oils, candle safe dyes, wooden wicks and reusable glass jars with cork lids. Each candle is carefully hand poured and labeled with its scent. All candles are made with the positive intention of it being gifted to a friend or yourself. Our candles are made to calm the mind, reduce stress and fill a space with light, love and all-round goodness. We hope our candles bring peace to you and any place you consider home.
We use 100% beeswax for our candles as it is a naturally occurring wax. Beeswax candles don’t generate toxic elements or by-products meaning it doesn’t contribute to air pollution. Beeswax candles help neutralise the harmful effects of presently existing pollutants. We also use wooden wicks as they are more sustainable than cotton wicks. They also make a crackling sound while burning similar to fireplace and burn more evenly than cotton wicks. Wooden wicks are great for candles and they produce less soot than conventional wicks.
How to make the most of your candles…
If you are a candle lover and hate not making the most of your candles, this parts for you.
Burning candles are easy, right? It’s a simple two step process, you light the candle and you out the candle, easy. Well in order to make the most out of your candle here’s a guide.
- Avoid drafts. Placing your candles near a window, fan or air conditioning unit creates a low performing candles. Keep your candles in an area that has low activity.
- Avoid leaving your candles in heat or sunlight. Leaving your candles in high temperatures allows the wax to become soft and your candles will then burn much faster. Storing your candles in a cool and shady area will allow for longer lasting and slower burning candles.
- Burn all the wax at the top. When burning a candle for the first time you want to make sure that the top wax is melted all the way to the edges. This will prevent the wax from making a cave at the centre of your candle which will make it harder for the outer remaining wax to melt.
Burned your candle down to the last drop of wax? Well clean your jar out because here are a few ways to reuse your candle jar:
- Herb/Spice Jar – Use your jar to now store your favourite herbs and spices. Whether it’s for cooking, baking or manifesting.
- Moon Water – Glass jars are perfect for storing moon water. Firstly cleanse your jar using sage, palo santo or incense, fill it with clean running water and put it out into the moonlight over night. (be sure to retrieve your moon water before sunlight catches it and store it in a dark, cold place)
- Stationary – Place your favourite writing tools, paper clips or rulers in your jar.
- Plant Pot/Vase – Fill your jar with dirt and plant a seed or already growing plant. You can also fill the jar with water and flowers to make a simple mini bouquet.
