How to use it?
Before lighting your sage bundle you should ensure that you have proper ventilation as well as something non-flammable for ash.
- If you have loose leaves make a small bundle, hold it tightly together and tie them using string or twine. (Ensure that you aren’t using any type of plastic to tie your sage.)
- Once your bundle is ready, hold one end and light the other end allowing the bundle to burn for a few seconds. Then, gently blow out the flame.
- Wave your bundle around your space, yourself and objects you’d like to cleanse. Focus on areas with negative energy and imagine those negative energies disappearing.
- After your session, gently extinguish the bundle by gently pressing it into your non-flammable dish or bowl. When disposing of the ashes, return it to the earth in a safe and respectful manner. Remember that mugwort sage is a sacred tool, respect it always.
